Greencreek 4th of July Celebration photos

Youngsters dig through the sawdust for coins in the money dig at Greencreek.

John Schumacher served as auctioneer with Ben Schumacher (not shown), Don Schumacher, Aaron Hinkelman and Tim Schumacher serving as spotters.


The train had a full load on this run with Grand Marshal Vern Sonnen serving as engineer.


A couple of unfortunates in the egg toss as they were dramatically eliminated.

The kiddie car merry-go-round is still enjoyed by youngsters, many who likely had parents who enjoyed the ride when they were young.

Youngsters enjoy the mini-carousel.

The dunk tank was a new event at Greencreek.

Some young ladies in the 3-legged race.

It was a close battle between the boys and the girls in this heat of the 3-legged race.

Despite several crashes, the young ladies above were one of the top finishers in this wheelbarrow race and both got up laughing at the end.

The all ages wheelbarrow race. The pair second from left wound up winning.

The watermelon eating contest at Greencreek. They had so many participants this year they ran out of watermelon after the second age group.
