Paint the Town Purple
It’s time to gear up for the Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay for Life to be held on July 18-19 at the Kamiah High School track.
To get our community in the relay spirit, we will be having our fourth annual “Paint the Town Purple” weekend on July 11th-12th. “The Clowns” Relay for Life team will be decorating main street with purple ribbons to celebrate survivors of cancer and bring awareness to the fight against the disease. We are asking the community to join us by wearing purple and showing your support. 
We will also be having our Purple Hat Tea Party on July 12th at the Eagles hall. The tea will be from 1:00-3:00 and will include lunch, games, entertainment and everyone can enter to win the “ Purple Hat Queen” contest.  Tickets can be purchased for $15 from Carolyn Haning 983-6392 or Tami Quick 983-6505.

Relay for Life events planned for July 18
The Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay for Life invites you to join in an evening of fun and remembrance as we honor cancer survivors and walk in memory of those we’ve lost.
The event begins with opening ceremonies at 7 p.m., Friday, July 18 at the Kamiah Track. There will be a celebration of cancer survivors and their caregivers.
The evening includes a live auction at 9 p.m., Luminaria Ceremony at 11 p.m. and Off with the Ponytails at midnight.
It’s an all night party with food, games and music provided by KIYE Radio. There will be thirteen teams walking through the night and we ask you to join us. See you at the Kamiah High School Track. Cancer never sleeps and neither will we!

Live Auction
The “Aloha” Relay for Life will be having a live auction at the Kamiah track on July 18th at 9:00 p.m.
The public is encouraged to attend and all proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Auction items include: Adirondack table with two chairs, vacuum cleaner, BBQ grill and gift basket, BBQ grill  and a cooler of picnic supplies, computer desk, glass top coffee table, two tickets to the Sara Evans concert on August 16th and many more great items.
Show up at 7 p.m. for the opening ceremony and you can join in honoring our cancer survivors. You can even stay after the auction and enjoy our Luminaria ceremony and play games while listening to music and other entertainment.

Off With the Ponytails
Need a haircut? Then come to the Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay for Life on July 18th at the Kamiah High School Track.
At midnight we will be taking ponytail donations to benefit the Beautiful Lengths program. The American Cancer Society funds this program to make wigs for cancer patients. There will be hair stylists there to cut the ponytails. Donation requirements include at least 8 inches of hair free of dye or chemicals, washed and dried with no more than 5% gray.
Bring a smile to a cancer patient’s face by donating to the Beautiful Lengths program.

Survivors Honored
101 birthdays, 101 survivors. 
The Clearwater to Salmon Rivers Relay for Life invites all of our cancer survivors to join in a reception to honor you in your well deserved victory against this disease. The American Cancer Society is celebrating their 101st birthday this year and we want a hundred and one survivors to join in the fun.
The 6 p.m. Survivors Reception on Friday will be the beginning of a great night including guest speakers, games, food, live auction and music provided by KIYE Radio.
