family reunion held
The children of George and Ruth Kopczynski held a family reunion the weekend of July 25-27 in Lewiston, ID, at the home of Becky and Duane Schmidt. The occasion was celebrating the birthdays of their parents. George and Ruth shared the same date, July 31, and Ruth would have been 100 and George 106. The reunion started with an informal get-together at Becky’s on Friday night. Saturday morning, Buzz and Evelyn Kopczynski and their daughter, Devra and Clark Bradley, hosted a breakfast at the Bradley home. A family picture was taken while there. After the breakfast family members made their way to the Schmidt home for ad afternoon and evening of food and fun. Sunday the reunion concluded with a breakfast at the Schmidt home. 40 members of the family were able to attend. All of their children except Ed were in attendance. Figures point to 100 members if everyone would have been in attendance. Plans are already in the making for another reunion next year in the Portland area. The oldest member of the family in attendance was Wesley Fitzpatrick, husband of Ruth, and the youngest was Juliana, daughter of Anna and Gerard Deblois and granddaughter of Ralph and Debbie Stubbers. The reunion was hosted by Duane and Becky Schmidt and Ralph and Debbie Stubbers.
