Matt Schwartz is top overall showman
Matt Schwartz of Ferdinand was the top winner in the 2014 Idaho County Fair Livestock awards. He had the grand champion quality beef project. He was also grand champion showman for beef and also the Round Robin overall grand champion showman. He received the top overall beef project award as well as the Joe Enneking Award for top overall agricultural project.
Savannah Thanstrom was the reserve champion for beef fitting and showing.
Anna Kaschmitter of Grangeville was dairy heifer grand champion showman.
Hunter Connolley of Grangeville was grand champion showman for sheep while Hailey Danly of Cottonwood was reserve champion.
Tessa Godfrey of Grangeville was the grand champion showman for swine and also the reserve champion for quality. Spencer Schumacher of Greencreek was the reserve champion quality showman.
Nicole Blackmer of Grangeville was the grand champion horse showman while Dani Aiken, also of Grangeville was the reserve.
Davi Murphy was the grand champion showman for rabbits while Elizabeth Orgish was reserve.
Orgish was grand champion showman for poultry with Isaiah Linabury as reserve.
Sarah Davis was grand champion goat showman while Naomi Connolley was the reserve.
Kelley Turney of White Bird was the grand champion for both dog showmanship and obedience. Marissa Lustig was reserve champion for showmanship and Isaiah Linabury was reserve for obedience.

In the quality awards Thomas Schwartz was the reserve champion for beef quality.
Wyatt Thanstrom was the grand champion for breeding beef with Hope McIntire as reserve. Anna Kaschmitter was grand champion for dairy beef.
Mazie Wilcox was grand champion for bucket calf.
Naomi Connolley was grand champion for market lambs with Hunter Connolley as reserve.
Zach Forsmann was grand champion for breeding ewes.
Chaye Uptmor of Keuterville was the grand champion for market swine with Tessa Godfrey as reserve.
Hunter Connolley had the grand champion quality rabbit while Isabella Klapprich was reserve.
Naomi Connolley had the grand champion dairy goat while Lauren Alfrey of Ferdinand had the reserve.
Sarah Davis had the grand champion market goat.
Gracelyn Missman had the grand champion pet goat.
Naomi Connolley had the grand champion poultry with Elizabeth Orgish as reserve.
In the Livestock Judging Contest Te-Moak Charley was first with Jade Dutcher 2nd, Taryn Godfrey 3rd, Tanner Ross 4th and Caleb Frei 5th. Top Beef Judge was Godfrey with Charley as top sheep judge. Brandon Costa was the top swine judge.
In the Rate of Gain Contest Lucas Wemhoff had the top beef steer at 4.42 lbs. per day. Cody Kaschmitter had the top lamb at 1.16 lbs. per day. Connor Forsman had the top market swine at 2.6 lbs. per day.
Ellea Uhlenkott had the top junior Livestock Record Book with Bailie Gehring as the intermediate winner and Savannah Thanstrom as the senior winner.
Top horse record book award went to Nicole Blackmer who also received the award for Top Secretary Book.
Top senior ag demonstration was by Elizabeth Orgish. Top intermediate award went to Lauren Goldman and top junio award to Aidan Acton.
The 4-H Herdsmanship award went to Greencreek Active Workers 4-H Club.
Top Community Service Project Poster went to Riggins Canyon 4-H Club.
The Idaho County 4-H Lamb and Ewe project award went to Te’Moak Charley.
Wyatt Thanstrom had the outstanding Angus Breeding project.
Thomas Schwartz had the outstanding Angus Market project.
Mike Charley had the Outstanding FFA Project.
Stephanie Jungert received the Outstanding Hereford Award.
Camas Livestock 4-H Club had the highest percentage of beef projects.
Tessa Godfrey had the top overall Swine project.
Hunter Connolley had the top overall sheep project.
Kelly Turney received the Dave Klapprich Memorial Award.
Debbie Kelley of the Rough Riders 4-H Club received the Volunteer Leaders Distinguished Service Award.
Senior mugs were awarded to 12 graduating senior 4-H members. They were Rebekah Bruner, Sara Davis, Brandi Gehring, Taylor Hazelbaker and Ana Pauley, 10 years in 4-H each; Matthew Davis and Kelly Turney, 9 years each; Adrianne Nuxoll and Kara Reilly, 8 years each; Matthew Schwartz and Wyatt Thanstrom, 7 years each and Elizabeth Orgish, 5 years.
