Hospital golf tourney a success
“We had a beautiful day for a golf tournament, the weather really couldn’t have been better,” said Cheri Holthaus SMH Foundation Coordinator.  “Fourteen teams entered the ‘Golf for Life’ scramble tournament; this is the biggest tournament we have had in quite a while.”
The team of Michael Gruben, Rod Eckert, Matt Dame and Dan Lustig; which was sponsored by Inland Cellular came in first with a combined score of 64.  Two teams each with a combined score of 65 tied for second place; one team consisted of Skip Hall, Cindy Hall, Kelcie Edwards and Jim Schmidt and the other second place team was Dr. Haley Minnehan, Pat Hylton and Charlie Walker.
“I want to thank everyone who golfed and or helped out with the event,” commented Holthaus.  “I especially want to thank our tournament sponsors; Askers Harvest Foods, and Life Flight; both are such wonderful supporters of St. Mary’s Hospital.  I would also like to thank Bud’s Power Sports for the use of one of their side by sides.  Without the generosity of everyone involved this tournament could not have taken place.  The proceeds from this tournament will go to St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation.”
