Curriculum night set
Prairie Junior/Senior High School and GEAR UP will host a back to school curriculum evening on Wednesday, November 5th.  Dinner will be provided in the cafeteria from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.  At 5:30 pm the science teachers will present information related to science and the Next Generation Science Standards. In addition, we will share BrainHoney, a new program we are using that allows students to access science information via the internet.  We will also discuss our new math textbook and curriculum in the math classrooms following the general sessions.   The “CPM” math books have been in use for over 20 years and our math staff is excited to share curriculum use and ideas with you.  We will also present information about Advanced Opportunities programs available through the State of Idaho and through our colleges and universities.
GEAR UP has purchased two Kindle Fire HDs as door prizes to be given away following the curriculum presentation.  All attendees can enter the drawing.  You must be present at the curriculum presentation taking place in the cafeteria at 5:30pm, to be eligible for the drawing.
Conferences will run from 3:30-7:00pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the curriculum information session on Wednesday at 5:30pm.   There will be no conferences held on Thursday and there is no school for students or staff on Friday, November 7th.  Contact Principal, Carrie Nygaard, at the High School with questions (962-3901).
