Veterans Day program to be at high school
The Cottonwood School District will present a program for Veterans on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m. in the Prairie Jr.Sr. High School Gym. All Veterans and their family members are invited.  Parents and the public are welcome to attend too.
Harold Schacher will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award, and several Quilts of Valor will be presented to local Veterans.  Jalisa Wright Hammond will be speaking to honor her brother, Randal Wright.  Marine Lance Corporal Randal Wright was injured and disabled in the line of duty in Afghanistan.  Both Jalisa and her brother graduated from Prairie a few years ago.
We will also have a slide show to honor all of our Veterans. We do have a collection of pictures of Veterans from previous years.  If you haven’t done so already, please send or email a picture of a Veteran in your family, or a Veteran friend of your family to Mrs. Karel at  karel@sd242.org   We need all pictures sent before November 7th in order to put them into the slide show.  During the program we will have all Veterans introduce themselves.   Please feel free to share this invitation with any Veteran that you might know and invite them to our program.
Hope to see you on Tuesday, November 11th at 1:00 p.m. at the Prairie Jr. Sr. High School.
Thank you Veterans - for freedom in the U.S.A.!!!!
