wins big at Deary
The Summit Patriots improved to 7-1 on the season with a 59-28 league win at Deary Tuesday, Jan. 6. That gives them a 5-1 league record. Summit jumped out to a 13-4 lead by the end of the first quarter and extended the lead to 35-6 by halftime. They maintained that lead through the second half leading Deary 53-21 after 3 quarters and played the fourth quarter with a running clock. Patrick Chmelik had another double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds while Tyler Krogh led the scoring with 16 points and Josh Lustig was also in double figures with 13. Chris Osborne added 7 points and 10 rebounds. Nathan Beckman scored 5, Dean Stubbers 4, Luke Schwartz 2 and Thomas Schwartz 1. Deary won the JV game by a score of 39-55.
