A series of new books titled Home Front Heroes are now in the library. They include: Doing My Part, The No-No Boys, V for Victory and Wave Me Good-Bye. These are of more interest to the younger readers. For the Adults and Teens: Dancing in Combat Boots and Stories of American Women in WWII. The Author is Cornelia Funk and wife of Roger Funk who has relatives in this area. Several new books are now ready to be checked out including large print. There are too many to list so come in and see what is available. Have you been doing your part? Krystin Uhlenkott is collecting tabs from aluminum cans for her senior project and needs more to meet her goal. Should have mentioned this before Super Bowl. They may be turned in to Carol at City Hall. Plans are being made for National Library Month with an open house to be held in April. This will give the public a chance to see the improvements that have been made this past year and how important the Bräts and Brew is for to the library. Mardel is still recovering from pneumonia and we hope to see her back soon. Congratulations to Coach Mader and her basketball team for representing us so well throughout the season and at State.
