March is busy for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
All of creation is waiting in great anticipation of all the beauty that Spring holds.  We too have this longing inside for a blooming and a becoming, as the season invites us to change and a enter into a new of being.  It is in this blossoming that you are invited, especially during this time of lent to be open to a newness through engaging in our March youth activities.
The Confirmation class will kick off the month through meeting at the Church during the normal class time, 7:00 p.m. to practice for the “shadow stations”.  Please bring your books as we will go through the lesson and then practice the stations.  This activity is a great way in engaging in the walk with Christ to the cross and into the hope of the resurrection.  Please show up at St. Mary’s Church at 7:00 p.m. instead of the CEC building.  On March 2nd all of the youth and adults who will be attending the Idaho Catholic Youth Convention met at the On Mighty Ground Youth room for a short meeting.
During the month of March the PFFP will be hosting a Lenten movie night every Wednesday night.  I would like to invite all of the youth who normally attend youth group to attend these nights throughout the month of March.  It is important for community to gather during this special time of year, so grab your parents, brothers and sisters, friends and neighbors and join us for this great community event hosted by our Prairie Faith Formation Program.  The movies are on March 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.  I am not sure of the place or time so please watch the bulletin for more information.
On March 6th the youth and adults will meet at St. Mary’s parking lot to board the bus for ICYC.  All of the details for the weekend will be discussed at our meeting on the 2nd. We will be gone from March 6th through the 8th.  Please pray for our 30 attendees as we join all of our brothers and sisters throughout the state in this faith filled and transformative event.
On March 9th the small group Bible study will meet to finish the study on the book of Esther.  Please join us for pizza at 6:30, study from 7:00 to 8:00 and a walk at 8:00.  Everyone is welcome to join us as we delve in the historical stories of the figures of the Old Testament.
On March 10th I will be attending a deanery meeting in Moscow. Please remember the Lenten movie night on March 11th.  I will be leaving to attend the Los Angeles Congress for youth ministry and adult ministry from March 12th through March 17th.  Please pray for Julie Arnzen and I as we engage in this great learning opportunity with 40,000 other Catholics from throughout the U.S. This is a great time for renewal, learning, and transformation.
Please remember to attend the Lenten Movie Night on March 18th.
Our Confirmation class will meet at St. Mary’s Church on March 22nd at 7:00 for a short class and Stations Practice.  Please remember to bring your books to the Church.
On March 23rd we will meet at Debbie’s office for our small group of Catholic Q and A.  Anyone is High School who is curious about their faith and has questions that need to be addressed and answered are encouraged to attend this night.  We will have pizza at 6:30 and study from 7:00 to 8:00 and go for a walk at 8:00.  Please join us for this study as we explore the tough questions in our faith.
On March 25th please remember to attend the Lenten movie night.
On March 27th the Confirmation class will be hosting the Station of the Cross.  You are asked to be present at 4:45 at the Church to get dressed and run through the stations process.  Please be on time.
On March 30th the Haiti Mission Team will be meeting at the OMG to talk about upcoming fundraisers at 7:00 p.m.  Please be present at this meeting.  It is very important for you to know where we are in our journey toward the 2016 mission trip to Haiti.
As seeds are planted and watered they blossom and grow.  It is the same in our lives.  If we step into the places and opportunities that nourish us in our faith we will grow and become all that God calls us to be.  We hope to see you this month and please know you are always welcome!
In Christ,
Debbie
