Phillips is employee of the month
Amy Phillips, CNA has been chosen by her St. Mary’s Hospital co-workers as the Employee of the Month for March. She was chosen in-part for her ability to do any job with a smile and putting her patient’s comfort and dignity first. Her nomination form reported that Amy is “..not afraid of work, CNA work is not always the most desirable, in fact it is just plan unpleasant at times, but she always does it with a smile.”
Amy has worked for SMH since February of 2014.  As a CNA some of Amy’s duties include taking patient’s vitals, keeping all areas on the nursing floor clean and stocked, assisting with newborn care as well as assisting with the general care of all the patients.  Amy is not only a CNA but she is also an EMT on the St. Mary’s Ambulance crew.
“I enjoy helping people,” stated Amy when asked about her job.  “I love that I get to help people when they need it most, even if it just means a kind word of support and some encouragement.
Amy graduated from Clearwater Valley High School in Kooskia, received an associates in paralegal studies from Kaplan University and participated in the LCSC work force training program.
When not working; Amy enjoys reading, sewing, crafting, gardening, hunting, hiking and wood working.
Amy’s family consists of her husband; Walter, sons; Tommie, Joseph, Alex and daughters; Pixie and Becca.
