May activities for Tri-Parish Youth
Dear Youth in Christ,
As the weather warms up and the days come to a close we ask you to consider joining us our end of the school year activities. As a young Church we will celebrate this special month through praise, prayer, play, worship, planning, food, and learning.  It is here we challenge you to become a disciple and live out your call as servants, witnesses, and leaders.
We begin the month off with an invitation to spend some time with Jesus at Adoration.  We will meet at the Church at 10:00 p.m. and pray until 11:00. Please bring your journals.  Confirmation class was scheduled for May 3rd is moved to May 17th at the CEC building at 7:00.  Please bring your books and complete your assignments.  I will provide snacks for the evening.  I look forward to seeing you.
On May 6th the Jr. High and High School are invited to a night of fun and food. We will meet at the OMG at 7:00 for a short meeting and then go outside for games.  We will end the night with s’mores.  Adults are invited too. Come and join us for some great fun.  Kids remember to bring footballs, Frisbees, mitts, baseballs and any other outside game you would like to play. On May 9th the Haiti Team will meet at the Church Parking lot in the morning. I will have the exact time we leave for you at our meeting on May 4th.  Please make a copy of your pledge sheet and bring your sheet and the donations you have collected.  I will answer any of your questions on May 4th.  (If anyone would like to our Walk please contact Debbie at St. Mary’s Church.  All collected proceeds will go toward the Hope Pregnancy Center in Grangeville and Kamiah). We appreciate your support.
On May 11th at 7:00 all of the youth are invited to a prayer vigil at St. Mary’s Church for Gabbie Rehder.   As a community we will meet to pray for Gabbie’s healing.  Adults and whole families are invited and encouraged.  Let’s gather and storm heaven with our hearts, prayers, and songs.  On May 13th at 7:00 will meet at the OMG to hand out forms and discuss details for all of our upcoming summer retreats.  If you plan on attending the Leadership retreat in Stanley on June18th-20th, the Benedicteen retreat on July 20th-23rd, or the Steubenville retreat on July 31-Aug. 2nd please be present at this meeting.  I will cover all of the requirements for each retreat, give you the cost, deadlines and answer any questions you may have.  Your presence is vital if you plan on attending one or all three of these retreats.   On May 17th the Tri-Parishes will honor our Summit and Prairie Graduates at our 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Mary’s.  If you are a graduate please bring your gown and be at the Church at 9:30 p.m. for line up.  We are so excited to share in the lives and these young people and are so thankful for their presence in our communities and parishes.  A reception will follow the Mass in the Sacred Heart Room.

I am so proud of you and am honored to walk with you on this journey of faith!
Happy Memorial day to everyone on May 25th!  I hope you enjoy the sun, your family, and some quality time with all of those you love.  May the “Son” shine on you during this weekend.  On May 27th our youth group would like to thank all of those who have so graciously helped us get our youth room together.  We will be hosting an open house and barbeque for the communities, parishes, families and all of those who worked on our room.  We will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a youth ministry slideshow and then invite you to enjoy some food, s’mores and a tour of the new youth room.  Please join us as we celebrate this great accomplishment for our parish and our youth!
In Christ,
Debbie
