| Turnbay
to be added at Greencreek Rd. intersection
Construction of turnbays on U.S. 95 was expected to begin Tuesday (Sept. 8) one mile north of Cottonwood for Greencreek Road and about 10 miles north of Grangeville for Lake Road. In both cases, the road will be widened to accommodate right-turn lanes at those locations. Work is expected to finish in early October. The locations for the turnbays are approximately 10 miles apart on U.S. 95. The primary reason for the work is to improve safety at these locations. Crash rates, crash severity and turning data were all studied as part of moving this project forward. Drivers are asked to expect minor delays of up to 15 minutes during construction. Flaggers will be used to direct traffic. ITD appreciates the patience of drivers during this period. Crea Construction Inc., of Lewiston, is the contractor on this $215,000 project.
