French couple visits Dog Bark Park
On Sat Sept 12th a couple from France who have been guests at Dog Bark Park for 3 days made a donation of a 4-man tent & two sleeping bags to the local Boy Scout Troup.
The couple purchased a tent in Wyoming for a 6- day camping trip in the Tetons & Yellowstone National Park before arriving in Cottonwood.  As it would cost more in luggage fees to carry the items on their next flights, the couple hoped Dog Bark Park would help them make contact to see if the local Boy Scouts could use the camping gear.
Six scouts and leader Shari Chaffee came to Dog Bark Park on Saturday to receive the gifts.
The couple are avid volunteers in their community in southern France; he with a scout group & she with a local animal shelter. Both enjoyed visiting with the scouts & parents who were also in attendance on Saturday.  They truly marvel at the vast beauty of the American West & the friendly people who live there.

A French couple who have been touring the western United States, donated the camping gear they bought for a 6-day camping trip to the local Boy Scout troop. The cost to ship it back home was almost more than it was worth and they figured the Scouts could make good use of it. Scouts from left are Tate Berdoy, Blaze Berdoy, Carson Schmidt, Hunter Chaffee and Anthony Karel. Scout leader Shari Chaffee is in between the French couple. Photo by Frances Conklin.
