Cross Country fundraiser a success despite uncooperative weather
Saturday night the Prairie Cross Country Team hosted a movie night and Run at the football field.   A sizable crowd showed up to watch McFarland USA on an outdoor screen while the Cross Country team ran laps around the track.
Thanks to the generous support of those people in attendance and the pledges from people supporting our runners this fundraiser was a big success.   We greatly appreciate all those who joined us for this event.
A grand total of almost 70 miles were run by the team and its coaches during the movie.  That is about 280 laps run in less than two hours in what turned out to be a very windy night.  Yes, what started out as a very pleasant evening for a movie and a run became pretty rough for our movie goers and the runners.   Although the Cross Country Team has not set a date, we would like to set up another movie night to make up for the unpleasant conditions that set in soon after we started the movie Saturday night.   We will try and get the word out and hope we can make this happen in the next few weeks.   Once again, thank you all for your support of the Prairie Cross Country Team.
