The Prairie Lady Pirates finished their regular season with a pair of wins over Lapwai and Grangeville and then clinched a trip to State by beating Lapwai in their District opener.
At Lapwai
Prairie completed their first unbeaten league season since moving to the White Pine League with a 25-11, 25-10, 25-8sweep of Lapwai at Lapwai, Tuesday, Oct. 13.
The opening game saw Prairie take a 10-4 lead only to see Lapwai come back and cut it to 1 at 12-11.Sarah Seubert makes a dig at Lapwai.

Danly served the final 12 points of the game, 4 on aces with VonBargen scoring 4 kills, Sarah Seubert 2 kills and Krystin Uhlenkott and Angela Wemhoff 1 each as Prairie turned a close game into a blowout.
The second game was also a close game early on with Danly and Seubert scoring big service runs.
Danly took over at 9-6 and served 4 aces in 5 serves with the fifth point being an amazing point where Uhlenkott had a tough dig of a Lapwai spike and Danly dove to the floor and someone got the ball up and over the net to an open spot for a kill.
After a couple of Lapwai points, Seubert took over and served 3 straight aces, VonBargen scored a kill and Seubert then added 2 mores aces to make it 21-8 before Lapwai was able to get her off the service line.
After 4 straight sideouts, Chaye Uptmor took over and served up 2 aces to end the game.
The fight was pretty much gone from Lapwai for the third game as Seubert scored a sideout on Lapwai’s opening serve and Prairie added 3 more points with Danly serving for a 4-0 lead.
Lapwai cut it to 4-3 but then Seubert scored a kill for the sideout and then served 6 straight for an 11-3 lead. In the first 11 points Seubert had 3 aces, VonBargen had 3 kills plus a block, Seubert had 3 kills and Uhlenkott added a kill.
After Lapwai cut the lead to 11-5 they bricked a served and VonBargen put the game out of reach.

They took the lead in the first game on a pair of aces by Madison Pecarovich but Lapwai answered with 4 straight points and Prairie trailed the rest of the game.
The second game saw Lapwai have several serving runs of 4 or more points while Prairie was limited to just 2 points on serve until then end of the game when Pecarovich had 2 aces as Prairie faced game point.
The third game looked like the first two as Prairie fell behind 4-10.
