Youngster donates to veterans
Cottonwood VFW Post Commander Joe Riener reported Tuesday morning about one of the more heartfelt donations received by the post.
It seems Jack Chambers, 8-year old son of Barney and Bobbi Chambers who own Coyote Mule Company, really wanted to help out the veterans when he was at Keuterville Pub & Grub with his folks by buying some of the VFW raffle tickets but was told he was too young to do so. He then gave Linda $5 and told her to give that to the veterans.
Riener said the VFW Post is very appreciative of young Jack’s donation and have put that money into their relief fund.
Speaking of the VFW prize drawing, the winners were drawn at Keuterville Pub & Grub recently and they are:
1st-Ruger Redhawk .44, Max Nuxoll
2nd-$200, Mike Temes
3rd-$150, Bo Lorentz
4th-$100, Jay Hinterlong
5th-$100, Buzz Chapman
6th-$50, Dave Frei
The VFW thanks everyone for participating in their annual fundraiser.
