Library News
Excuse our dust!!  Big renovation downstairs in the city hall.  Carol Altman brought us up to date on the work being done.  The city crew is working on the new kitchen and bath this week.  The walls for the ramp are going up as well as a new door.  This is particularly exciting for the library,  access has been difficult for many of you.
Thank you to the city council, and especially Shelley Schumacher, for making it possible.  Cottonwood is lucky to have them, and we are all proud of our community and its supporters.
We are hoping the new access will allow more of our seniors to enjoy the new books. Large print books have been requested and are on the way.  Several best sellers are in.  Killing Reagan, and Ivan Doig's last book, The Last Bus to Wisdom and new children's ,  inspirational and Do it your self books.
The children's story hour has been such success.  The parents are wonderful and enthusiastic about the program. It would be fun to hear from you about your favorite books when you were growing up and how they influenced and enriched your lives.  My favorite was Albert Payton Terhune's stories about Collie dogs.  I'll bet for many it was Nancy Drew!  What's your story?  We would love to hear about it.
If you have requested a book, be sure to check to see if it has come in.  We did receive a large shipment last week.
Candice is doing a great job of keeping our request list up to date. Thanks for all you do, Candice.
