Library News
The Prairie Community Library Board will meet at 12:30, Tuesday, February 19 rather than the usual second Tuesday. Election of officers will be held.
Due to circumstances beyond their control, three board members have resigned
in the past few months. Anyone interested in becoming a member of the
library board or a Friend of the Library is welcome to come sit in on a
meeting to see what is involved. If you need a get-away in a quiet
atmosphere, perhaps volunteering at the library would be the answer. There
is a variety of areas to become involved in. Volunteers are appreciate as the current staff is not large enough to always keep up with the demands.
We are open to any suggestions that will benefit the Library and the Community. Books that you would like to have in the library will be ordered upon request. Books can also be borrowed from the Boise Library and arrive within 3-4 days. They are checked out for two weeks and are returned by mail at the borrowers expense.
Keep the Library in mind when giving Memorial Donations. Plans are in progress to honor these loved ones by creating a Memorial plaque,
We have a little child who is fascinated by Barney, the Sesame Street Character. If anyone out there has a “Barney” book that could be donated it would be appreciated.
Also next Tuesday’s Storytime group will be celebrating Valentine’s Day.
The Library board regrets they will not be serving Chamber lunch until the re-model is complete and a kitchen is once again available.
