Summit wins 2 of 3
The Summit Academy Patriots won 2 of 3 games this past week. They lost a non-league game at Lapwai 44-66 Tuesday, Feb. 2. Saturday, Feb. 6, they traveled to Logos where they won a league game 53-43. Finally on Monday, Feb. 8 they made up their postponed home game against Timberline by traveling to Weippe where they won 46-40 to complete an undefeated league schedule.
At Lapwai
The game at Lapwai was a matchup of the White Pine League division leaders.
Lapwai jumped out to a 10-20 lead by the end of the first quarter and extended that to 22-38 by halftime and 30-55 by the end of the third quarter.
Tyler Krogh led the Patriots in scoring with 19 points While Dylan Krogh scored 8, Caleb Currier 7, Chris Osborne 7 and Dean Stubbers 4.
The Summit JV won 50-32.

At Logos
The return game against Logos was close until the fourth quarter as Summit won by 10 points.
Summit led just 11-9 after one quarter and 29-25 at the half. The margin stayed at 4 after the third quarter, 40-36. Summit then outscored the Knights 13-7 in the fourth to finally get some separation.
Tyler Krogh again led the scoring with 21 points with Osborne chipping in 11 points and 9 rebounds. Jake Stubbers scored 7, Patrick Chmelik 6, Dylan Krogh 5 and Currier 3.
Chmelik led the rebounding with 12 and added 4 assists.
Logos won the JV game 27-33.

Home game at Timberline
The Patriots completed an unbeaten league schedule with a 46-40 win over Timberline at Weippe Monday, Feb. 8.
The game was a makeup for the home game originally scheduled for Jan. 23.
Summit led 12-9 after the first quarter and extended the lead to 27-18 by halftime.
They then held off the Spartans through the second half as Timberline shaved 2 points off the lead in the third quarter and 1 more in the fourth.
Tyler Krogh topped the Patriots in scoring with 15 points, edging out Osborne who had 14 with 12 rebounds.
Jake Stubbers scored 6, Chmelik 4, Currier 3 and Dean Stubbers and Dylan Krogh 2 each.
Chmelik added 9 rebounds.
Summit completes their regular season schedule with a perfect 12-0 league record and are 15-3 overall. They get a first round bye in the District Tournament and their next game will be Wednesday, Feb. 24 when they will play the lowest seeded survivor of the play-in games.
Summit also won the JV game 37-23.
