Library News
The parents of our children's story hour have been very supportive of this program.  We asked them to share their thoughts on the benefits to their children attending this weekly library hour.
One response was " I have been taking my children to the library since we participated in the summer reading this past summer.  My kids enjoy going to the story hour and often ask during the week when is it time to go to the library.  It is also a great way for me to have new books to read to my children at home.  I asked my son (5) what he likes about the library ,  he said its pretty fun and I like listening to the books.  He also mentioned that he likes snack time.  I asked him what his favorite books are and he replied,  He Bernstein Bears and Miss Frizzle (The Magic School Bus).  The library's story hour has become an activity that my kids look forward to every Tuesday ".
One of the mothers has joined us at our monthly meeting to liaison with the board on thoughts and suggestions from the group.  This is a great way for us to improve on the program and their ideas are helpful and encouraging.  Thank you all.
This is what a small community library is all about and is gratifying to the volunteers who put time and effort into introducing preschoolers to the magic of books.  It makes it all worthwhile.  If you have not visited this program,  it is offered every Tuesday morning from 10:30 - 11:30.  Come and join the party,  you are always welcome here.
