Prairie’s first game at the Orofino Tournament was against the host team and was the only game they played on the north filed at Orofino’s softball complex.Third baseman Hanna Ross throws to Sarah Seubert at first for an out in the Orofino game.
Tidwell led off the game by legging out an infield single and then stole second. Hailey Danly followed with her own infield single, scoring Tidwell. Danly took second as Tidwell scored. Danly was moved to third on a groundout by Hanna Ross and then scored when an illegal pitch was called (similar to a balk in baseball).
Uhlenkott was Prairie’s starting pitcher and had a rough first inning with a walk, hit and 2 errors that led to 2 Orofino runs that tied the score.
Prairie took the lead for good in the second when Sydney Bruner reached when the Orofino shortstop dropped her short fly ball. Sarah Ross looped a single to right and Danly’s 2 out single scored Bruner. Ross was thrown out at the plate as she also tried to score on the play.
In their half of the second Orofino had a hit by pitch and 2 walks but failed to score. One runner was called out on the bases and the third out came on a forceout at third.

Faith Uhlenkott walked and Abbie Uhlenkott singled up the middle to score Sierah Poxleitner, who was courtesy running for Remacle who was the catcher. Faith Uhlenkott scored when Sarah Ross reached on an error.
Two walks and a double led to a run for Orofino in their half of the third but Faith Uhlenkott got out of the inning when, with the bases loaded and just 1 out, the batter lined back to Uhlenkott for an out and Uhlenkott then tossed the ball over to Hanna Ross at third to double off the runner there for an inning ending double play.
