Three win events at Kamiah
At an 8-school track meet held at Kamiah, Thursday, March 24, Mykaela McWilliams and Kristyna Krogh each won two events and Lucas Wemhoff won 1 for the Prairie track teams.Mykaela McWilliams clears the last hurdle on her way to a win in the 100 meter hurdles where she had the area’s best time so far this season. She also won the 300 hurdles.
McWilliams won both hurdles races, the 100 hurdles in 17.05 and the 300 hurdles in 50.15. She also place third in the 100 meter dash in 13.93.
Krogh won both the 800 and 1600. She won the 800 in 2:49.74 and the 1600 in 6:18.51. She also took 4th in the long jump at 12’ 1½”.
Wemhoff won the 400 meter dash in 57.13. He was also 6th in the 200 in 25.74 and 7th in the 100 in 12.59.
In other girls events Laney Uhlenkott was second in the 400 in 1:07.12 and third in the 200 in 29.72.
Theresa Wemhoff was 6th in the 100 in 14.79
Krista Hess was ninth in the 200 in 33.78, 15th in the 100 in 16.03 and seventh in the long jump at 11’5½”.
Bailie Gehring was 4th in the discus at 75’9” and 14th in the shot put at 21’7” while Emma Gehring was sixth in the shot put at 23’9” and 12th in the discus at 56’0”.
The 4x100 relay team of Wemhoff, Hess, Uhlenkott and McWilliams placed second in 56.98.
For the boys Grant Gehring was second in the 3200 in 12:28.64.
Andrew Everson was 5th in the discus at 102’4” and 6th in the shot at 35’1”.
Carson Schmidt was 8th in the shot at 33’11: and 13th in the discus at 78’11”.
Caleb McWilliams was tied for 8th in the shot at 33’11”, 24th in the 100 at 14.22 and 18th in the 200 at 29.19.
Tucker Hibbard was 18th in the discus at 67’10” and 22nd in the shot at 26’5”.
Drew Dinning was 21st in the 100 in 13.88, 18th in the 200 in 29.19 and 22nd in the discus at 56’4”.
Sean Spencer was 5th in the long jump at 17’2”.
Anthony Karel was 10th in the 200 in 27.44, 8th in the 400 in 1:01.24 and 21st in the long jump at 10’0”.
Ray Zhang was 15th in the 400 in 1:09.48 and 19th in the long jump at 12’6”.
Brandon Latimer was 17th in the 400 in 1:09.83 and 20th in the 200 in 32.29.
The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, Zhang, Latimer and Dinner placed 5th in 55.47.
The 4x200 relay team of Zhang, Gehring Karel and Spencer also placed 5th in 1:47.91.
The girls team placed 2nd with 93 points while the boys were 4th with 64 points.
