Second Health Walk set for Ferdinand
The second in a series of 7 weekly health walks in the “Walk the Prairie for Health” program is set for Ferdinand this Saturday, April 9.
Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. at the parking lot at Assumption Catholic Church. The walk itself will start at 9 a.m.
The Partnership for Healthy Communities, (PHC) a collaboration of 5 health systems and 2 community service organizations (Clearwater Human Needs Council, Clearwater Valley Hospital & Clinics, Grangeville Human Needs Council, Idaho North Central Public Health District, Nimiipuu Health, Snake River Community Clinic, St. Mary’s Hospital & Clinics, and Syringa Hospital & Clinics), will again be sponsoring the walk.
Again participants can put in a ticket to win a Fitbit HR with the drawing set for the final walk.
There is no charge to participate and all ages are welcome.
Also available are FREE health screenings offered by the PHC.
Walks continue every weekend through May 21 with the next walk set for Greencreek on April 16.
