Wemhoff win at Lapwai
Mykaela McWilliams and Luke Wemhoff each won events at a track meet held at Lapwai Tuesday, April 5. McWilliams won the 100 hurdles in a season best time of 15.00 and then tried a new event and won that. In her first long jump competition she took first place with a jump of 15’1½”. She also placed third in the 300 hurdles in 50.00. 
Wemhoff won the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.10. He also placed 9th in the 100 in 12.14, 9th in the 200 in 25.81 and 16th in the long jump at 16’6½”. In other girls results Delaney Uhlenkott placed third in the 400 meter dash in 1:04.41. Chaye Uptmor placed third in the 800 in 2:43.10, third in the 3200 in 13:39.97 and sixth in the 1600 in 6:35.15. Jordyn Higgins was 8th in the 800 in 2:49.10, 17th in the 200 in 32.32 and 16th in the long jump at 12’0”. Theresa Wemhoff was 10th in the 100 in 14.11, 14th in the 200 in 31.73 and 23rd in the long jump at 10’7”. Krista Hess was 19th in the 200 in 32.46 and 25th in the long jump at 10’1”. Maria Schmidt was 25th in the 100 in 15.87 and 21st in the 200 in 33.78. Madison Ulmer was 5th in the discus at 79’4” and 17th in the shot put at 23’9”. Bailie Gehring was 8th in the discus at 74’4” and 18th in the shot at 23’5½”. Emma Gehring was 22nd in the shot at 22’7½” and 22nd in the discus at 59’6”. The 4x100 relay team of Wemhoff, Hess, Uhlenkott and McWilliams placed 2nd in 56.16/ The 4x200 team of Schmidt, Higgins, Hess and Uhlenkott placed 5th in 2:03.07. As a team Prairie placed 6th out of 15 schools with 63 points. In other boys events Grant Gehring placed 5th in the 3200 in 11:47.22, 7th in the 300 hurdles in 54.23 and 18th in the 1600 in 5:39.08. Andrew Everson was 9th in the shot put at 36’5” and 18th in the discus at 95’6”. Raice Dalgliesh was 19th in the 400 in 1:01.06, 29th in the 100 in 12.9 and 23rd in the long jump at 15;9”. Ray Zhang was 15th in the 200 in 26.64, 23rd in the 400 in 1:01.70 and 37th in the long jump at 13’9”. Drew Dinning was 24th in the 200 in 28.37 and 46th in the discus at 54’6”. Carson Schmidt was 14th in the shot at 34’6” and 21st in the discus at 91’1”. Caleb McWilliams was 30th in the 400 in 1:04.91, 21st in the 1600 in 5:43.08 and 21st in the shot at 32.6”. Kevin Tillinghast was 10th in the 3200 in 13:07.40 and 29th in the 1600 in 6:22.67. The 4x100 team of Dalgliesh, Schmidt, Latimer and Dinning placed 13th in 53.28. The 4x200 team of Zhang, Gehring, McWilliams and Sean Spencer placed 7th in 1:49.91. As a team the boys were tied for 11th with 18 points.
