Track team competes at two meets
The Prairie Track team competed at two different meets last week, the Orofino Invitational on Tuesday, April 12 and the Pfeff Invitational at Lapwai on Saturday, April 16.
Orofino Invitational
Mykaela McWilliams won 3 different events at the Orofino Invitational. She won the 100 hurdles in 16.74, the 300 hurdles in 50.18 and also won the long jump at 16’1”.Mykaela McWilliams went over 16 feet in the long jump to take first place at Orofino despite a tender ankle.
That helped Prairie to a second place finish among the 15 teams with 93 points, just 6 behind host Orofino.
Chaye Uptmor had a 2nd place finish in the 800 with a time of 2:37.83. She was also 5th in the 1600 at 6:16.22 and 7th in the 400 in 1:09.13.
Laney Uhlenkott was fourth in the 200 in 28.64 and also 4th in the 400 at 1:04.68.
Kristyna Krogh ws 4th in the 800 in 2:45.36 and 6th in the 1600 in 6:21.81.
Bailie Gehring was 5th in the discus at 78’4” and 20th in the shot put at 21’11½”.
Madison Ulmer was 6th in the discus at 75’3” and 13th in the shot at 23’8½” 
Emma Gehring was 14th in the shot at 23’8” and 16th in the discus at 63’11”.
Theresa Wemhoff was 9th in the 100 at 14.5.
Jordyn Higgins was 5th in the 800 in 2:46.46 and 10th in the long jump at 12’3”.
Krista Hess was 18th in the 100 in 15.23 and 18th in the long jump at 11’3”.
Maria Schmidt was 24th in the 100 in 15.96.
The top relay finish was turned in by the 4x200 team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Uhlenkott and McWilliams. They finished 2nd in 1:56.40.
The medley team of Schmidt, Hess, Wemhoff and Higgins placed third in 2:12.60.
There were two 4x100 teams. The team of Wemhoff, Uhlenkott, Krogh and Hess placed 3rd in 58.37. The throwers team of Schmidt, Ulmer, Bailie Gehring and Emma Gehring placed 11th in 1:07.21.
The top individual finishers for the boys team were Grant Gehring with a 7th place finish in the 3200 in 11:38.17 and Carson Schmidt with a 7th place finish in the shot put at 36’4½”. Gehrin also placed 12th in the 1600 in 5:32.03 and 14th in the 300 hurdles in 52.20 while Schmidt also placed 11th in the discus at 99’5”.
Isaiah Shears has joined the team and placed 10th in the 100 in 12.18 and 13th in the 200 in 26.65.
Sean Spencer placed 9th in the long jump at 17’6½” and 28th in the 400 in 1:21.0.
Lucas Wemhoff placed 10th in the triple jump at 34’1”, 18th in the long jump at 16’1½” and 20th in the 100 in 12.56.
Kevin Tillinghast was 11th in the 3200 in 13:24.99 and 16th in the 1600 in 6:02.49.
Ray Zhang was 29th in the 100 in 13.03.
Drew Dinning was 29th in the 200 in 31.26.
Brandon Latimer was 26th in the 400 in 1:06.06 and 30the in the 200 in 31.54.
Raice Dalgliesh was 22nd in the 400 in 1:02.35.
Andrew Everson was 16th in the shot put at 34’5¾”.
Tucker Hibbard was 29th in the discus at 59’10” and 32nd in the shot at 26’2”.
The medley relay team of Shears, Dalgliesh, Wemhoff and Spencer placed third in 4:02.60.
The 4x200 team of Dalgliesh, Dinning, Latimer and Zhang placed 13th in 1:52.78.
The 4x100 team of Dalgliesh, Gehring, Zhang and Dinning placed 14th in 53.18 and the throwers relay of Everson, Caleb McWilliams, Schmidt and Hibbard were 16th in 1:02.93
The boys team was tied for 13th with 10 points.
Pfeff Invitational
At the Pfeff Invitational at Lapwai the girls team placed 1st with 112 points. 
Winning events were Higgins in the 800 meters with a time of 2:45.29; McWilliams in the 100 hurdles in 18.50; Ulmer in the discus at 87’6” and the 4x100, 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams.
Higgins also placed third in the long jump at 12’6½”.
Ulmer was also 4th in the shot put at 24’1”.
The 4x100 relay team of Schmidt, Ulmer, Bailie Gehring and Emma Gehring won in 1:17.18.
The 4x200 team of Uhlenkott, Higgins, Uptmor and McWilliams won in 1:57.51.
The 4x400 team of Higgins, McWilliams, Krogh and Uhlenkott won in 4:37.62.
Uhlenkott also placed 2nd in the 400 in 1:04.31 and third in the 200 in 28.95.
Hess was 5th in the 200 in 31.71, 10th in the 100 in 15.16 and 10th in the long jump at 11’3”.
Schmidt was 6th in the 400 in 1:14.58, 7th in the 200 in 32.73 and 13th in the 100 in 15.33.
Krogh was 8th in the 400 in 1:16.54 and 7th in the long jump at 11’6½”.
Emma Gehring was 6th in the shot at 23’5½” and 10th in the discus at 65’5”.
Bailie Gehring was 9th in the shot at 21’8” and 7th in the discus at 69’4”.
The top finisher for the boys team that placed 4th out of 10 schools was Spencer with a 2nd in the 3200 at 11:46.43. He was also 4th in the 400 in 57.02 and 4th in the long jump at 16’4”.
Shears placed 4th in the 200 at 25.97, 7th in the 100 at 12.33 and 7th in the discus at 105’3”.
Dalgliesh was 5th in the 200 in 26.14, 10th in the 100 at 12.69, 10th in the 400 in 1:01.11 and 7th in the long jump at 15’8½”.
Gehring was 4th in the 3200 in 11:56.77 and 9th in the 300 hurdles in 54.19.
Everson was 4th in the discus at 108’6” and 6th in the shot at 36’1”.
Tillinghast was 7th in the 3200 in 13:03.07.
Schmidt was 9th in the shot at 35’5”, 12th in the discus at 96’11” and 17th in the 100 in 13.25.
Zhang was 7th in the 200 in 27.07, 15th in the 100 in 13.16 and 15th in the 400 in 1:05.83.
McWilliams was 16th in the 400 in 1:05.54 and 13th in the shot at 31’2½”.
Dinning was 11th in the 200 in 28.94 and 29th in the discus at 60’9”.
Latimer was 13th in the 200 in 31.38 and 18th in the 400 in 1:08.08.
Hibbard was 20th in the shot at 26’8” and 27th in the discus at 66’0”.
The 4x100 relay team of Everson, Tillinghast, Schmidt and Hibbard placed 4th in 57.89.
