Lady Pirates sweep C.V.
Hailey Danly hit for the cycle in the opening game of a two game sweep of the Clearwater Valley Lady Rams as the Lady Pirates picked up their first 2 league wins of the season 20-0 and 17-2 Thursday, April 21 at Cottonwood.

Kylie Tidwell set the tone for the games by leading off the top of the first in the opening game with a home run and Danly followed with a triple. Prairie wound up scoring 5 runs in that opening frame.
In the second inning Prairie plated 10 runs to take a 15-0 lead after two innings. Danly had a double and single in the inning.
In the 5 run third she added a homer to complete the cycle.
Meanwhile Faith Uhlenkott completely shut down the Rams by tossing a 1-hit shutout.
Prairie had 15 hits in the game, which was a makeup of an earlier rainout.
In addition to Danly’s 4 hits, Sam Remacle had 3 singles, Tidwell had a homer and a single, Sarah Ross had 2 doubles, Abbie Uhlenkott had a double and a single, Hanna Ross had a double and Sydney Bruner had a single.

Hanna Ross pitched the second game and gave up just 2 hits and 2 third inning runs in another game ended after 3 innings on the 15-run mercy rule.
Prairie exploded for 13 runs in the bottom of the first and added 2 each in the second and third. The game ended in the bottom of the third when the second run scored.
Prairie had 14 hits in this game as Sarah Ross and Sarah Seubert each had a double and a single. Tidwell and Abbie Uhlenkott each had a pair of singles. Danly had a double and Hanna Ross, Faith Uhlenkott, Remacle and Lauren Alfrey each had a single.
With the wins Prairie improves to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.
