Spring Play
Performances for Murder by Indecision, Summit Academy's spring play begin this Thursday, May 12th. Aging playwright Agatha Crispy, with senility setting in, is writing her final manuscript. As she types, her play's characters come to life on stage. The characters take on a life of their own when the typing pauses, lamenting the ruin of their reputations in the literary world with this latest manuscript. Can they somehow influence Agatha to improve the play and save all their reputations? Join us for a performance of this murder-mystery spoof to find out! Performances are held at Summit Academy on May 12, 7pm; May 13, 7pm; May 14, 2pm & 7pm. Cost for admission is: Preschool Free; Kindergarten to 12th Grade $4; Adults $5 Family Pass $20, 3 shows $30, 4 shows $35

Literary Agent Ruth Less informs Ms. Crispy of her manuscript deadline. Photos by Summit Academy Summit hosts Academic Bowl Summit Academy in Cottonwood hosted a High School Academic Bowl on May 2nd. The competition was attended by 15 teams formed from the students of the surrounding schools of: Grangeville, Prairie, Orofino, Nezperce, Timberline, CV, and Summit. After 3 rounds of quiz questions and 3 venture questions, the team ending in first place was a Grangeville team. Placing in second was a Prairie team, and there was a 3 way tie for 3rd place with teams from Orofino, Summit Academy, and Nezperce. Mr. Watson from Summit Academy organized the event, Mr. Hull-Nye was the scorekeeper, and Kevin Rehder was the announcer for the evening. This was the last Academic Bowl for this school year. They will start again in the fall with every school taking a turn hosting a competition. |
