of State trips
Prairie High School sports teams made history this year as EVERY sports team made it to state in some capacity during the 2015-16 school year. The volleyball, football and cross country teams all made it in the fall with the volleyball team winning state, the football team placing second and Kylie Tidwell earning a medal for the cross country team. In the winter the girls basketball team took second at state, Jace Perrin made it to state for the wrestling team and the boys basketball team also made it to state. In the spring the baseball, softball and track teams all made it to state. Also the football, boys basketball and baseball teams all took the state Academic Championship awards. If you want to take it further, HOSA, BPA and FFA all had state competitors as well. The closest we are aware of to all the sports teams making it to state was the 2013-14 school year when all but the volleyball team made it. It’s a great time to be a Pirate!! |
