Greencreek celebration is Monday
The annual Greencreek 4th of July Celebration is set to start at 6 a.m. Monday, July 4 with a flag raising.
Ray Nuxoll is the Grand Marshal this year.
The famous St. Anthony’s Society breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. in the Greencreek Hall. Cost is $8 for 12 years and older, $5 for 6-11 year olds and 5 and under are free.
At noon the Altar Society will take over the kitchen and sell hamburgers and homemade pies.
Also at noon the Street Sports will start featuring various kinds of races for youngsters plus an egg toss.
Following the Street Sports the Prairie Quilters will present a Quilt of Valor to a Greencreek area veteran.
At about 1 p.m. the auction will start in the lawn to the west of the hall. At the end of the auction the prize drawing will be held.
There will be bingo in the hall all day and a beergarden and concessions outside.
There are also several children’s rides outside including the barrel train, bouncy house and a couple of merry-go-rounds.
