This year, awards were given in seven categories: Community Engagement, Economic & Community Development, Parks & Recreation, Public Safety, Public Works, Transportation, and Youth.
The City of Cottonwood was recognized with a City Achievement Award in the Public Safety Category for its Alcohol & Drug Education & Enforcement Program, which has a grant funded School Resource Officer who educates students about the impacts of substance abuse and focuses on drug and alcohol enforcement.
