In cross country scoring is done by giving points for where your top 5 runners finish with the lower the score the better. Therefore Kylie Tidwell scored 29 points, Rambo 30, Chaffee 34 and etc.
Prairie also had 4 girls in the JV race as they had 15 total runners at the meet.
Hope McIntire finished 5th in the JV race in 22:25.80 with Kodie Tidwell placing 8th in 23:38.52, Sierah Poxleitner 13th in 25:14.48 and Madison Ulmer 15th in 25:19.04.
Coach Glen Poxleitner said he was very pleased with the effort put in.    Both the boys and girls teams ran better then last year.   In comparison to last year at the same meet, Grant Gehring ran 3 minutes faster,  James Villamor and Brandon Latimer ran 2 minutes faster and Hope McIntire ran 2 minutes faster.    “So, I think we are starting out in a great position.    Some really amazing talent in our 1A district so its going to take a full team effort and continued hard work for our teams or some individuals to make it to State. I was very happy to get our first meet in and get that experience under our belts,” said Poxleitner.
Poxleitner also noted the overall winner for the boys was Cole Olsen of Clearwater Valley who was running with a CV-Kamiah co-op team. “That young man can just out and out run. WOW.” Olsen had a time of 13:51.19 for the 2.7 mile course, 18 seconds ahead of second place.
