Pacific Cabinets doubles production space
Pacific Cabinets, Inc. of Ferdinand recently opened a new production building that will double the production floor space for the company.
Jason Rieger and Casey Forsmann gave us a tour of the new building.
The new 20,000 square foot facility will mostly be used for custom cabinetry and solid surface work. This will also streamline the production lines in the building where the custom cabinets were previously done as they won’t have to change over from the metered cabinets to do so.
The production work force will expand from 26 to 36 once the new facility is fully operational and will also see a couple of additional management level employees in the main office as well.
Forsmann said the area south of the new building is currently a parking area but could also be used for further expansion.
The business started well over 30 years ago as Frei Cabinets on the family farm of owner Steve Frei and has steadily expanded over the years.
They will be holding an open house/ribbon cutting ceremony for their new facility on Thursday Sept. 22 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. There will be food and drinks with local businesses, suppliers, customers, contractors and employees attending this event.

The new 20,000 square foot production facility at Pacific Cabinets, Inc. in Ferdinand was completed recently and will have a grand opening ceremony Thursday, Sept. 22.
