4 earn medals at Moscow race
Four girls placed in the top 10 of their respective races at the Bob Weisel Moscow Invitational Cross Country Meet held Wednesday, Sept. 21.
The event was moved from the state park it was at last year due to conditions there. This year the event was held at the Moscow Elks Golf Course.
They also had a different format with separate races for freshmen/sophomores and junior/seniors.
Prairie had 3 top 10 finishers in the girls freshmen/sophomore race and 4 in the top 12 as they finished second as a team with 41 points, behind Deary., who had 31.
Ciara Chaffee placed 5th in 23:53.39. Jacey Rambo was 7th in 24:02.024. Kendra Duclos was 9th in 24:49.974. Calli Perrin was 12th in 25:39.674. Hope McIntire was 22nd in 27:07.214. Jessie Sonnen was 26th in 28:24.684 and Kodie Tidwell was 31st in 31:50.977.
Kylie Tidwell placed 7th in the Junior/Senior race in 25:29.690 with Sierah Poxleitner placing 19th in 30:05.590 and Madison Ulmer placing 20th in 30:12.930.
In the boys race James Villamor was Prairie’s only runner in the freshman/sophomore race. He placed 22nd in 21:34.177. 
In the junior/senior race Gavin Branson, new to the team, placed 24th in 20:14.240. Grant Gehring was 29th in 20:39.667. Luke Schwartz was 38th in 21:21.624. Ryan Glimp was 55th in 24:23.664, just ahead of Luis Flores who was 56th in 24:23.700. Brandon Latimer was 58th in 26:19.937.
The boys were 5th as a team with 106 points.
Crosscountry team points are scored 1 for first place, 2 for second, 3 for third and so on.
Prairie’s next meet will be this Saturday, October 1 In the Lewiston Orchards at the Inland Empire Challenge hosted by Lewiston High School.

Gavin Branson, a new Prairie student who just became eligible to compete, was the boys top finished in the junior/senior race.

Calli Perrin and Kendra Duclos were running close together at this point. Duclos wound up 9th and Perrin 12th.
