Animal Rescue Foundation looking at building animal shelter
Hello from the non-profit Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF).  We presented an update the Grangeville City Council last night and felt it was a good time to update the press as well.  Please feel free to contact us directly if you have any questions.
ARF is dedicated to creating a no-kill regional animal shelter headquartered in Grangeville, ID. We strive to: protect the welfare of abandoned and abused pets by providing care, shelter and spay/neuter to prevent future unwanted pets.  Secure adoptive homes for pets and support community awareness of ethical treatment of animals.
In the last few months we have made progress!  We obtained our 501c3 status making all donations tax deductible.  We participated in the Border Days Parade all three days, Art in the Park, and ACE Hardware in Grangeville bucket sale.  We have staked the land at the site and posted our banner so people can see where the shelter will be upon completion.  Drive out to the Grangeville Air Port and you will see the sign.  Picture is attached.
We are currently developing a schedule to visit our surrounding communities at city council or other meetings to spread the word about our cause and seek support.
We are seeking representatives from across the prairie to help gain support in our surrounding communities.  If you live in Cottonwood, Greencreek, Craigmont, Culdesac, Winchester, Kamiah, Kooskia, Stites, Harpster, White Bird, Riggins, Elk City - or any where in between and want to act as the liaison for your area please contact us at: arf.grangeville@gmail.com
Sincerely,
Sara Espeland / ARF President
