Forsmann to celebrate 40 years at bank
After Dar Kuther (later Forsmann) graduated from High School, she ventured to LCSC and completed a two year course in one year. This work ethic brought her back to Cottonwood working at Darlene’s Flowers for a short time, before starting her career with First Security Bank. She began working at the bank on November 1st, 1976, as a secretary. Her career grew, yet again, when she became a teller; finishing advancement when she was promoted to Lead Teller.
Throughout her career she has been through many changes, but her main priority has, and will always be, how best to take care of her customers. To this day, Dar exemplifies what customer service should look like, not just at Wells Fargo, but in any form. She has not only been a stellar employee for 40 years, but has been a great leader in our community. Dar has volunteered her time to many organizations and causes, including but not limited to: St. Jude’s Bike-A-Thon for six years, T-Ball coaching for five years, City League volleyball player, Co-chairing for the Winter Parade for two years, member of the St. Mary’s Parish Council for three years, Youth Sports Secretary, Chamber of Commerce treasurer and now Vice President…….the list goes on. Dar is also proud of being a cancer survivor of 21 years, and provides support in so many ways to others who are, or have suffered from cancer.
First Security was purchased by Wells Fargo Bank in 2001, and began with a barbeque open house in the parking lot in 1974. Dar is such a wonderful asset to our team, and this Friday, the 28th, we would like to honor her with an open house of her own. Please come and help us celebrate her amazing 40 years with the company! We will have treats, cake, snacks and refreshments from 9:00a - 5:00p.
