Lady Pirates out in 3 matches at State
The Prairie Volleyball team had a rather short stay at the State Tournament this year after winning it all the past two years.
They opened against Horseshoe Bend, the District 3 champion who came into the tournament undefeated.
They lost in 3 games to the team that wound up losing to Troy in the state championship match.
In the second round they matched up against another District 3 team and defeated Ambrose 3 games to 1 to stay alive.
In the third round they matched up against Challis and were beaten in 3 games to end their season.
For the other District 2 teams at State, Troy kept the District string of state championships alive by winning the title while Genesee was eliminated in the same round as Prairie.
Prairie finished the season with a 20-13 record.
