Summit wins 1 of 3 at District
Summit Academy placed 2nd at the Knowledge Bowl Competition held in Orofino on Monday, October 24th.
The Summit team previously competed at Prairie and Nezperce and has improved their rank at each competition.   This was the team's first time placing in the top three for the year.  Faculty member Rick Wimer revived an old Summit tradition by providing the team with a pizza lunch for their top three placement.
The team was made up of senior Bridget Beckman, junior Maddie Rehder, sophomores Kayla Rehder and Luke Wassmuth and freshmen Jessie Sonnen and David Wassmuth.

Summit students to launch pumpkins
Please join Summit Academy's physical science students for their biannual Pumpkin Chunker Launch challenge on Thursday, November 3rd from 2:00-2:30 pm.  Every other year, our Physical Science students in 9th-10th grade use the concepts from class to build Pumpkin Chunkers that will launch pumpkins across the field behind Summit Academy.
There are three different challenges that they must accomplish for the overall champion prize. The public is invited to watch the students compete; please dress for the weather.
