Idaho County Veterans Outreach events
The Idaho County Veterans Outreach and Community Center in Grangeville is hosting a free lunch on Veterans Day, November 11th, at 11:30 am. Beef stew with rolls and dessert will be provided by the City Gates Church. Veterans from all eras of service are invited to bring their family to enjoy lunch and camaraderie at the Vets Center.
On Saturday, November 12th, the Vets Center is hosting a Jukebox Saturday Night Swing Dance. Swing music from the 40’s will be played for a WWII cantina theme. Everyone is invited to attend and children are welcome. Come dance the foxtrot and jitterbug. Vintage clothes from the era are encouraged but boots and jeans are fitting too. Beer and wine will be for sale to support the Center.
Friday, November 18th, TLC4Vets is hosting their monthly free dinner for Veterans. This month will be a Thanksgiving meal and all Veterans are invited to bring their family and enjoy turkey and all the fixings from 5 to 6 pm.
Traditional country music is the theme for a dance on Saturday, November 19th. Myra Pearce and David Dixon will perform country classics starting at 7 pm. Beer and wine will be for sale and the evening will benefit the Veterans Center with a $10 cover charge for adults and teens. Kids under 12 are free.
