Update on Prairie Quilters
During the month of October, the Prairie Quilters collected bags of textiles for a fund raiser.  They collected 89 bags for about 1300 pounds.  There were sold to Clothes for a Cause in Boise.  Thanks to Mick and Judy Forsman, Eugene and Joanne McHugh, Kathleen McHugh and Randy and Vicki Shears who were making trips to the Boise area, their cars were filled to the top and transported down.
November 11, 2016, the quilters presented 14 quilts to Veterans from the area at the Prairie High School’s Awesome Veterans Assembly.  On Saturday, November 12, 2016 two quilts were presented at the VFW Dinner in Keuterville.
Even though the quilters are finished presenting quilts (we think) for 2016 we continue to make quilts.  We meet on Thursday’s at St. Mary’s Church and brainstorm and cut and sew.
The VFW is sponsoring a Sunday breakfast fund raiser in support of the quilters, January 22, 2017 at the community hall in Cottonwood.  We are selling tickets in advance for an $8 donation.  Wouldn’t these be great for birthday gifts or stocking stuffers for Christmas for your families?  If you are interested in buying tickets, contact any of the members—Jeanne Arnzen, Shirley Baerlocher, Judy Forsman, Bertie Forsmann, Lynn Sonnen or Debbie Stubbers.
Your continued support is so very much appreciated.
