Perrin takes first at Orofino
Jace Perrin took first place in the 182 lb. class at the Orofino Invitational held Jan. 13-14.
Perrin had a bye into the semifinals where he pinned Robert Gorham of Cove, Oregon in 37 seconds.
In the championship match Perrin faced Rylie Warnock of Joseph, Oregon in a tough match. The score was tied 2-2 after one period and Perrin trailed 5-6 going into the final period. He started the final period in the up position, not usually the best spot when you’re behind, but managed to get Warnock turned late in the match and scored the pin with just 13 seconds left.
Perrin also wrestled 3 matches Friday evening that didn’t count toward the bracket seeding on Saturday. He won a 12-5 decision over Warnock on Friday and pinned Gorham in 46 seconds.
He also faced Layton Paul of Potlatch who wrestled in the 194 pound bracket on Saturday and lost by pin in 2:37.
Conrad Duman was out in two matches on Saturday in the 138 lb. weight class. In the quarterfinals he got pinned by Newton Pollan of Lewiston in 1:08. 
In the consolation bracket he lost by pin to Nakoah Hein of Clarkson in 2:17.
Duman had 3 matches on Friday where he won by pin over Bladen Farmer of Grangeville in 56 seconds, lost by pin to Keegan Sweeney of Lewiston in 4:48 and lost by decision to Gage Mitchell of St. Maries 1-11.
Results from earlier meets
At the Prairie duals held Dec. 8 Duman won twice and lost 3 times in the 145 lb. weight class. He won by pin over Brittney Benavidez in 30 seconds and won by pin over Bailey Clark of Potlatch. He lost by pin to Frankie Zumwalt of Grangeville in 1:30, lost by pin to Blake Courtney of Grangeville in 3:40 and lost by pin to Cedar Fisher of C.V. in 3:46.
Perrin won all three of his matches in the 182 lb. class. He won by decision over Peyton Whipple of Kamiah 6-1, won by pin over  Christian Norman of Orofino in 1:00 and won by pin over Austin Corey of C.V. in 46 seconds.
At the Joseph Oregon Tournament Perrin wound up earning a third place medal.
At 182 lbs. he won by pin over Whipple of Kamiah in 1:11 in the first round. He then won by pin over Jonny Sarbacher of Enterprise, Oregon in 2:56 in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals he lost by pin in 5:13 to Donnovan Tate of Elgin, Oregon. In the consolation semifinals he again beat Whipple, this time by decision 11-3. In the third place match had won by pin over Benjamin Lopez of Joseph, Oregon in 2:32.
Duman won one of his 3 matches at 138 lbs. In the opening round he lost by pin to Jayson Blackburn of Union, Oregon in 5:18. In the second round he won by pin over Farmer of Grangeville in 33 seconds. He was then eliminated by Fisher of C.V. by pin in 3:53.
