Kendrick ends Summit's season
The Summit Lady Patriots’ season came to an end with a play-in game loss at Kendrick, 30-44, Saturday, Feb. 4.
Summit led the game at the end of the first quarter, 10-9, but struggled in the second quarter as they scored just 2 points while Kendrick took a 12-20 lead at the half.
Kendrick extended the lead in the third quarter by outscoring the visitors 7-12 to take a 19-32 lead into the fourth.
Summit played about even in the fourth as Kendrick held just an 11-12 edge in the quarter.
Lauren Stubbers was the Patriots’ leading scorer with 11 points while Taylor Lustig scored 7, which included a 3-pointer. Erin Chmelik and Jessie Sonnen scored 4 each while Ally Sonnen and Lexi Currier scored 2 each.
For Ally Sonnen and Bridget Beckman it was their final game in a Summit uniform.
Summit finishes their season with a 3-11 record.
