Jace Perrin is District Champion
Jace Perrin took first place in the 182 lb. weight class at the District Wrestling Tournament held Saturday, Feb. 18 at Grangeville.
He opened with a win by pin in 1:12 over Steve Toland of St. Maries. In the championship match he won by a 9-0 decision over Peyton Whipple of Kamiah.
He takes and 30-6 record into the state tournament and will be the #4 seed.The State Wrestling Meet will be held Friday and Saturday, Feb. 24-25, at the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa. Matches start at 9 a.m. MST on Friday. Perrin’s first opponent will be Tristen Grush of Raft River
Conrad Duman’s season ended at District with a pair of losses. Wrestling at 138 lbs., he lost by pin to Devin Fletcher of Orofino in 3:00. He then lost in the consolation semifinals by pin to Skyler Olsen of C.V. in 4:24.
