Booster Club donates sewing machines
We are so excited - -the Booster Club recently donated two new Brother sewing machines to the PHS sewing class.  Shown are several students with the new machines, including the lucky 3rd year students, Molly Schwartz and Jade Peery, who get to use the machines this year.  The Booster Club’s gracious donation allowed us to retire several of the 30 year old machines that continually skipped or jammed while sewing.
Donations of material and sewing supplies continue to be greatly appreciated. Please think of us if you come across fabric or other sewing supplies that you don’t have a use for.  And if anyone is looking for a terrific tax break, a cash donation to the school district for say …… a sewing machine is a terrific way to go.  Just ask your accountant.
Sewing is a bit of lost art and I love seeing the joy and pride in the girls when they see their creativity and talent realized in a project.  Come and see for yourself at the Prairie High School, Spring Showcase, Tuesday, March 28th.
Thanks for your support.  Della Gehring, PHS Sewing Instructor
