Uptmor breaks school record in 1600
Prairie again competed in a pair of track meets this past week, a 9-school meet at Orofino Tuesday, April 25 and the White Pine League Championships Saturday, April 29 at Lapwai.
At the WPL meet Saturday Chaye Uptmor broke her own school record in winning the 1600 with a time of 5:42.40, 2 full seconds under the record she set on April 30, 2015 of 5:44.53.
Orofino Meet
At the meet in Orofino Uptmor swept the 3 distance races while Mykaela McWilliams swept the 2 hurdles races. Uptmor had times of 2:29.90 in the 800, 5:56.39 in the 1600 and 13:04.27 in the 3200. McWilliams had times of 17.11 in the 100 hurdles and 50.72 in the 300 hurdles.
The 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams also took 1st place as the girls team edged out Deary for the team title with 111 points to Deary’s 107.
Theresa Wemhoff, Ciara Chaffee, Jordyn Higgins and Laney Uhlenkott were the runners for both relays with a time of 1:57.21 in the 4x200 and 4:30.34 in the 4x400.
For the boys team Sean Spencer won the 1600 in 5:01.78 and Ryan Glimp won the discus at 134’6”.
The boys team placed 4th with 72 points.
Other girls results:
Chaffee was 2nd in the 800 in 2:35.83.
Higgins was 4th in the 400 in 1:05.64.
Kristyna Krogh was 5th in the 3200 in 14:15.84 and 7th in the 1600 in 6:35.66.
Madison Ulmer was 4th in the discus at 95’0” and 6th in the shot put at 26’7”.
Emma Gehring was 5th in the shot at 27’2½” and 9th in the discus at 75’6”.
Wemhoff was 8th in the 100 in 14.00.
Maria Schmidt was 8th in the 400 in 1:10.46; 20th in the 100 in 15.31 and 20th in the 200 in 27.72.
The 4x100 relay team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Uhlenkott and McWilliams was 2nd in 54.68.
Other boys results:
Spencer was also 9th in the long jump at 16’6”.
Glimp was also 6th in the shot put at 36’5½”.
Patrick Chmelik was 2nd in the high jump at 5’8”, 7th in the triple jump at 36’2” and 8th in the 200 in 25.44.
Grant Gehring was 4th in the 1600 in 5:37.80 and 6th in the 3200 in 12:03.0.
James Villamor was 7th in the 1600 in 6:00.61, 7th in the 3200 in 13:15.68 and 8th in the 800 in 2:53.62.
Carson Schmidt was 5th in the shot put at 36’7¾” and 5th in the discus at 110’7”.
Caleb McWilliams was 8th in the shot put at 32’9¼” and 13th in the discus at 89’9”.
Hayden Uhlenkott was 9th in the discus at 97’6” and 20th in the shot at 25’3½”.
Tucker Hibbard was 14th in the shot at 30’3”.
Ryan Arnzen was 19th in the shot at 26’¼” and 21st in the discus at 57’7”.
Caleb McGee was 18th in the 100 in 13.15.
Luis Samper-Flores was 14th in the 400 in 1:04.01 and 22nd in the 100 in 14.09.
The medley relay team of RaiceDalgliesh, Spencer, Lucas Wemhoff and Anthony Karel was 2nd in 4:06.77.
The 4x200 relay team of Dalgliesh, Karel, Spencer and Wemhoff was 5th in 1:41.06.
The 4x400 team of Dalgliesh, Karel, Samper-Flores and McGee was 5th in 4:05.48.
The 4x100 team of Glimp, McWilliams, Uhlenkott and Schmidt was 9th in 52.47 while the team of McGee, Samper-Flores, Dalgliesh and Gehring was 10th in 53.00.
WPL Meet at Lapwai
Other winners at the WPL Meet at Lapwai were McWilliams in the 100 hurdles in 16.85, Ryan Glimp in the discus with a personal best of 141’2” and all 4 girls relays.
As a team the girls placed 3rd out of 13 teams with 99 points behind Logos and Deary while the boys were tied for 6th with Genesee with 50 points.
In the girls relays the team of Wemhoff, Higgins, McWilliams and Uhlenkott won the 4x100 in 53.50.
The same 4 girls won the 4x200 in 1:52.20.
The team of Wemhoff, Uhlenkott, Uptmor and Higgins won the 4x400 in 4:25.09.
The team of Wemhoff, Higgins, Uhlenkott and Chaffee won the medley in 2:02.55.
Other girls results:
Uptmor was 3rd in the 800 in 2:30.80.
McWilliams was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 51.41.
Ulmer was 3rd in the discus at 93.9” and 10th in the shot at 25’7½”.
Chaffee was 4th in the 800 in 2:34.59, 5th in the 1600 in 6:09.42 and 19th in the long jump at 9’9”.
Krogh was 6th in the 3200 in 14:35.44.
Schmidt was 7th in the 400 in 1:09.28; 9th in the 200 in 30.38 and 16th in the 100 in 15.00.
Emma Gehring was 6th in the shot put at 27’10” and 18th in the discus at 67’8”.
Bailie Gehring was 7th in the discus at 83’0” and 19th in the shot at 23’1½”.
In other boys results Glimp was also 6th in the shot at 36’8¼”.
Spencer was 2nd in the 300 hurdles in 43.58, 3rd in the 800 in 2:06.76, 4th in the 1600 in 5:04.63 and 11th in the long jump at 16’1½”.
Schmidt was 5th in the shot put at 37’7” and 13th in the discus at 104’11”.
Gehring was 5th in the 3200 in 11:45.74 and 15thn the 800 in 2:39.83.
Villamor was 9th in the 3200 in 13:23.96; 17th in the 800 in 2:54.71 and 20th in the 1600 in 5:57.01.
Karel was 9th in the 800 in 2:22.44, 14th in the 1600 in 5:41.70 and 17th in the long jump at 14’10”.
Uhlenkott was 10th in the discus at 107’5” and 29th in the shot at 27’3”.
Hibbard was 11th in the discus at 106’2” and 19th in the shot at 30’6”.
McWilliams was 14th in the shot at 33’2½” and 26th in the discus at 78’2”.
Dalgliesh was 18th in the 200 in 25.75 and 24th in the 100 in 12.63.
McGee was 24th in the 200 in 26.41 and 36th in the 100 in 13.21.
Samper-Flores was 30th in the 200 in 28.67 and 40th in the 100 in 13.55.
The 4x200 relay team of Dalgliesh, McGee, Samper-Flores and Gehring was 4th in 1:46.60.
The 4x400 team of Uhlenkott, Glimp, McWiliiams and Schmidt was 5th in  4:16.76.
Finally the 4x100 team of Dalgliesh, McGee, Samper-Flores and Karel was 8th in 50.90.
