6 to graduate Friday
Summit Academy has a graduating class of 6 students and their graduation will be early this year as it will be held this Friday, May 19 at 6:30 p.m.
Prior to that there will be a graduation Mass at 5 p.m. at Holy Cross Chapel in Keuterville.
Ally Sonnen is the valedictorian for the class with Chris Osborne as salutatorian.
Remaining class members are Bridget Beckman, Patrick Chmelik, Youngman Sim and Ellie Watson.
Hopefully Chmelik will make it back from Middleton in time as he will be competing in the high jump at the state track meeting that morning.
Commencement Speaker will be Pete Prigge.

Summit Academy students participated in their annual Hike-a-thon and all school picnic on Wednesday May 10th.  Students met at Castle Creek Campground on the north fork of the Clearwater for a potluck before hitting the trail.   Younger students walked a wide path along Castle Creek, while the older students set out up a trail full of switchbacks to a nearby summit.  Everyone enjoyed and appreciated the sunny day, a rare treat this spring.  Hikers enjoyed s'mores after returning to camp.  The students thank all those that sponsored them for their hike!
