Summit graduates receive awards, scholarships
Six Summit graduates received awards and diplomas at their Commencement ceremony last Friday, May 19.
Chris Osborne was awarded both the John Bosco Award and the Patriot Award while Allycia Sonnen received the Excelsior Award. These are the three biggest awards presented to Summit graduates.
Each senior also received several medallions and certificates. 
Allycia Sonnen-valedictorian, high honors; basketball, 2 yrs.; volleyball 4 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 4 years; Drama, 4 yrs.; student government 2 yrs. and a certificate for 80 hours of Apostolic Service.
Christopher Osborne-salutatorian, high honors; basketball, 3 yrs.; drama, 4 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 1 year; 80 hours of Apostolic Service.
Bridget Beckman-honors; basketball, 2 yrs.; volleyball, 3 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 4 yrs.; student government, 1 year; drama, 4 yrs.; 80 hours of Apostolic Service.
Patrick Chmelik-basketball, 3 yrs.; drama, 4 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 1 year; Track, 1 year; 80 hours of Apostolic Service.
Ellie Watson-Drama, 2 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 4 yrs.; student government, 2, yrs.; 80 hours of Apostolic Service.
Youngmin Sim-Drama, 2 yrs.; Academic Bowl, 2 yrs.; student government, 1 year; 30 hours of Apostolic Service.
Several scholarships have also been awarded to the graduates:
Sonnen-$17,000 for 4 years Presidential Scholarship; $4,000 for 4 years Service Leadership Scholarship; $4,000 in Miscellaneous Grants; accepted into the Honors Scholar Program at Carroll College.
Osborne-$2,000 LCSC Presidential Scholarship; $1,000 LCSC Book Scholar; $2,000 Silver level at U of I; $550 from the Knights of Columbus (presented during the ceremony.)
Beckman-$2,000 LCSC Presidential Scholarship; $1,000 LCSC Book Scholar; $2,000 Idaho County Farm Bureau (presented at graduation).
Chmelik-$900 Walla Walla Foundation Scholarship; $1,000 Bronze level at U of I.
Watson-$800 Bronze level at U of I; $1,800 Silver level at U of I; $200 from UI Alumni Association; $500 Lewis County 4-H Continuing Education Scholarship (presented at graduation.)
