Madeline McHugh of Meridian, Idaho is the recipient of the National American Legion Auxiliary “Spirit and Youth” scholarship. 
She was awarded the $5000.00 scholarship based on academic achievement, community and school involvement and her essay on the subject “How Pride in Country, Community, School and Family directs your daily life?” Madeline is the daughter of Ryan and Candice McHugh of Meridian and granddaughter of Eugene and Jo Ann McHugh of Cottonwood and Mick and Judy Forsman of Ferdinand. Madeline graduated from Cole Valley Christian High School in Meridian and will be attending Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Ca. She has been a junior member of Cottonwood Post #40 American Legion Auxiliary since birth. |
