Farmers Market to hold customer survey
Saturday, September 2, the Grangeville Farmers’ Market will be taking their annual survey of customers with raffle prizes for three lucky winners, again this year.  Stop by for a chance to win a five dollar Market gift certificate to be awarded the following Saturday.  Customers must complete a survey for a chance to win a gift certificate.  Enjoy a free cup of coffee and the music performed by locals while you take the survey.
Tomatoes are showing up for sale but get to the Market early because they go fast.  Market hours are from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Pioneer Park on east Main Street through Saturday, September 16.   Look for the colorful awnings.  And remember the children’s program, the Grub Club, runs from 10:00 to noon.  Children who arrive early or late will still receive their tokens to purchase produce or edible plants.
Free awnings, tables and chairs are still available for non-profit groups to promote their organizations.  Call Michelle Perdue at 208 983 3763 to reserve your awning.  And vendors are encouraged to use a half table under an awning at no charge to sell small amount of product or to try out the Market.
Thanks, also, to the USDA for posting the “Support Your Local Farmers Market” signs along Highway 95 both south and north of Grangeville.  It takes a community to grow programs in small towns.  If you are interested in volunteering or becoming a vendor, stop by the Information booth to talk with the Market Manager.  Look for us on Facebook, too.
