Lady Pirates improve to 6-0
The Prairie Lady Pirates won 3 games this past week, a pair of blowout league wins, 80-9 at C.V. and 70-10 over Potlatch at Cottonwood, and a 53-28 non-league win at the Lewiston JV.
At C.V.

Prairie forced 14 first quarter turnovers on their way to a 32-2 quarter lead. Angela Wemhoff scored 10 first quarter points and Jordyn Higgins and India Peery added 8 each.
Prairie backed off on the full-court trap in the second quarter but still forced 9 turnovers as they extended the lead to 54-5 by halftime.
Wemhoff added 10 more points in the third quarter as Prairie extended the lead to 72-7 after 3 quarters.
There was a running clock throughout the fourth quarter and, oddly, the final score of 80-9 was exactly the same as last year’s game at C.V.
Wemhoff wound up with a game-high 22 points with India Peery scoring 16, Jordyn Higgins 15, Theresa Wemhoff 7, Josie Peery 6, Kristyna Krogh 4, Sydney Bruner 3, Alexis Hiler, Ciara Chaffee and Kendra Duclos 2 each and Sarah Ross 1.
Prairie had a 22-16 rebounding edge led by Josie Peery with 7 and Angela Wemhoff with 6. 
Angela Wemhoff had 6 steals with Higgins and Josie Peery adding 5 each. Prairie had 28 steals as a team. Angela Wemhoff also led in assist with 6 with Higgins adding 5.
Prairie was 33 for 59 from the field, 56%, and 12 for 18 at the line, 67%. C.V. was 3 for 12 from the field, 25%, and 3 for 8 from the line, 38%.

At Lewiston JV
In the rematch against the Lewiston JV’s Prairie’s defense held down the Bengals until their offense could get rolling.
Prairie led just 10-7 after 1 quarter and 17-10 at the half.
They extended the lead to 29-18 after 3 quarters and then cut loose in the fourth quarter for 24 points, outscoring the Bengals by 14.
Angela Wemhoff and Bruner each had 14 points and 9 rebounds to lead the Pirates with Theresa Wemhoff tallying 6 steals and 4 assists.
Higgins added 8 points, Josie and India Peery 7 points each, Krogh 2 and Hiler 1.
Prairie also won the JV game 54-26.

Vs. Potlatch
It was another lopsided league game as Prairie outscored Potlatch 26-0 in the first quarter and led 37-0 in the second before Potlatch finally scored at the 4:12 mark. Prairie led 48-5 at the half.

Wemhoff got on the scoreboard in the second quarter with 4 points but it was Hiler with 6 and Theresa Wemhoff with 5 that led the second quarter scoring.
Prairie forced 16 first quarter turnovers and 8 more in the second quarter.
Prairie backed off the pace in the second half, outscoring Potlatch 11-2 in the third quarter and 11-3 under a running clock in the fourth quarter.
Despite the slow start, Angela Wemhoff still wound up as the scoring lead with 11 points after a 3 for 3 second half. India Peery scored 10 with Josie Peery and Hiler scoring 9 each. Theresa Wemhoff and Krogh scored 7 each with Bruner scoring 6, Higgins 4, Chaffee 3 and Ross and Kodie Tidwell 2 each.
Josie Peery had 10 rebounds to lead Prairie to a 44-17 domination on the boards. 
Josie also had 4 steals with Higgins and India Peery adding 3 each. Angela Wemhoff had 6 assists and Higgins had 5.
Prairie was 26 for 54 from the field, 48%, and 16 for 25 at the line, 64%. Potlatch was 3 for 27 from the field, 11%, and 4 for 10 at the line 40%.
Prairie is now 6-0 on the season and 3-0 in league play.
The JV team also had a lopsided win as they came away with a 40-12 victory.
Prairie jumped out to a 5-0 lead and led 11-2 at the quarter. They led 25-7 at the half and 36-9 by the end of the third quarter.
Scoring was well spread out as Madison Shears led the way with 9 points with Kendra Duclos scoring 8, Kodie Tidwell 7, Brooklyn Riener and Ciara Chaffee 5 each, Halle Klapprich 4 and Sydnee Bruegeman 2.
Chaffee had 9 rebounds to lead the JV’s to a 27-17 advantage on the boards. 
Shears and Tidwell had 5 steals each and Tidwell, Riener, Ellea Uhlenkott and Klapprich had 2 assists each.
Prairie was 18 for 46 from the field, 39%, and 3 for 5 at the line, 60%, while Potlatch was 3 for 16 from the field, 19%, and 6 for 10 at the line, 60%.
